GIRLS FOOTBALL

The Club is pleased to provide fun, recreational and competitive football opportunities for girls of all ages. We currently organise football sessions for U5 & U6 girls on a Saturday morning as part of our Mini Kicker programme, as well as our FA Wildcats  programme for girls aged 7 - 11 years on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings.  We also have 3 teams playing league football.

ORFC Girls Football Philosophy

  • Inspire girls to play football and understand the values of football, socialising, teamwork and respect.
  • Provide fun, professional, friendly and safe environments where girls of all abilities are welcomed to play and learn.
  • Improve girls' technical ability and athleticism.
  • Adopt clear coaching methods and intervention when working with young female footballers.
  • Encourage all girls to make decisions and express technical ability
  • Implement practices that support the social corner, team activities, and develop communication & leadership.
  • Promote, encourage risk taking & problem solving.
  • Increase the participation of volunteer helpers in girls football including female coaches.
  • Promote football in the local community and create mutually beneficial school club partnerships.
  • Operate aligned with FA Future Game & Wildcats models.
