Over the last 3 seasons, the most joyful team in Oxshott Royals has been the Girls.
They have been a delight to watch, and it is evident that the girls' enjoyment of the game is markedly different to the boys. The girls don't take football/team sports for granted like maybe our boys do. They work incredibly hard for each other, and they celebrate their triumphs together in a way that really sets them apart.
This season, we need some more girls aged under 11 (which means they are about to start in year 5 or Year 6) to join the girls remaining from last season.
We also need someone who will help manage the side. Someone who is passionate about giving girls an early opportunity to play team sports. To help inject energy, motivate and retain the girls throughout the season, and who is excited by the prospect of seeing girls gain confidence and self belief as a consequence of involvement in football.
