Our U9A team (U10′s for this coming season) reached the final of the Arsenal International Soccer Festival played last weekend at Royal Holloway University in Egham, Surrey.

Teams from around the world were competing in the older age groups but our opponents were all from different parts of England. Our team was unbeaten during their 8 matches, apart from the all important penalty shoot out in the final. This meant we continued our practice of losing in the final of the tournaments we play in (5 in a row now!)

It was no disgrace though, as the team we lost to was Burnham Wood who have only lost 2 matches in 3 years. The pick of our performances was a 2-1 victory over Bristol Rovers in the semi-final.

The icing on the cake was to win the tournament fair play award – well done, boys!
