Under 16s match report 13/3/2010
Oxshott Royals Rebels 3 Farncombe Firebolts 1
Oxshott looked more like their old selves as they got back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Farncombe.
Royals passed and moved fluidly in a first half that ended goalless, however just minutes into the second period Farncombe shocked them by opening the scoring.
Continuing to pressurise, the home side leveled in the 55th minute, when Bryant on the edge of the area centred a Crane freekick for Bishop to fire home, and two minutes later they took the lead, Crane rising to head a McLoughlin corner past the visiting keeper.
Royals added a third and put the game beyond doubt 16 minutes from the end when Tough, pressurising the Farncombe keeper into making an error, tapped the ball home.
Man of the match was Crane who, in addition to taking the free kick that provided the opener and scoring Royals’ second, put in an excellent shift at the back.
